A contest!!

In honor of National Scrapbook Day on May 5th, www.2sassyscrappers.com is hosting a layout contest. We want to know what scrapping means to you! Be creative, be unique, tell us your point of view.

All entries must be recieved by May 6th at midnight. Please send your entry to: two_sassyscrappers@hotmail.com. All sizes of layouts will be accepted, but please include the size along with your submission. One entry per person,please.

The winner will be contacted no later than May 10th and will recieve a $20 gift card to the 2 Sassy Scrappers store, the winning layout will be featured on the store home page, and the winner will be asked to be our guest design team member for June 2007.

Small DT call update!!

There was an oversight on our part... we would like to include Canadians in our DT call!

Yup, the cat's out of the bag! Denise is opening an online store and I am her partner in crime or in creating I guess I should say!!

See below for more information!!

2 Sassy Scrappers came from some brainstorming between Denise and me (AJ) over the phone. We are online friends that met face to face for the first time in October of 2006 (after chatting for several years) and our families actually spent Thanksgiving together! We both love scrapbooking and all that it encompasses. Denise is the owner of this brainchild of ours and I get to be in charge of the design team end. We truly are a fun loving, easy going pair and we cannot wait to meet all of you. FYI, the store (www.2sassyscrappers.com) is currently under construction, but we are gearing up for our grand opening later this spring.

We are currently looking for 8 Design Team members. Four of these new members will be working with us for a 6 month term (April 07-October 07) and the other four will be working with us for a one year term (April 07-April 08). 2 Sassy Scrappers is a new site and we want to start off with a dedicated, fun loving, hard working, and friendly team of designers.

Please don’t think that you aren’t what we are looking for. We are currently looking for all styles and levels of scrapbookers. We are currently only accepting US entries, sorry. You must also be 18 years old or older.

Entries will be accepted from February 16, 2007 through midnight ET on March 9, 2007. We will announce our new DT on March 15 and the first month’s kits will be sent out on March 16th with posted projects due on or before April 5. The first kit will be a fast turn around, but things will get to normal with the May kits.

For this DT Call, we ask that you send your items in .jpg format and no larger than 100 KB. Projects do not need to be new, but we do ask that they be current projects.

• 1 altered or home accent project, we want to see you think outside the box with this entry.

Design Team requirements will be as follows:

• DT members will be require to post on a regular basis. There is no minimum, but we want to see you actively posting on the board.


• DT members will be required to post a monthly challenge for our members (challenges to be determined) or the member may choose to write a monthly tips and techniques or product review “article“.


• DT members will promote 2 Sassy Scrappers whenever possible.


• DT members are required to make at least 2 projects (of the following) from their monthly kits. One layout, one alter project (or home accent), or two cards.
  
• DT kits will be mailed between the 1st and the 3rd of every month for the FOLLOWING month. (IE. A kit mailed between March 1st and 3rd will be for April, etc.)


• DT kit reveals will be posted by the 5th of the month.


• We also ask our DT members to remember that they are representatives of the site. That they are an extension of the site.
  

Week 6 of the Deck of Me!

Deck of Me, Week 5

Emily's prompt for us this week was: use some ephemera from your week.

I oops'd though... I didn't use ephemera from THIS week... I used some from last fall. Oh well, but this tag meant a lot to me... it was from my first trip away from my family for any amount of time. I trekked to VA to meet up w/ some MB Friends and was gone for almost a week!

So, here we go (btw, the rhinestones aren't clear... they are actually pink!):

Each month, I host a sketch challenge for a bunch of friends and I figured I might as well start sharing those sketches and samples here.

What do you think of when you think of February? A heart... so that is the focal point of this sketch! So, w/o any further ado here is the sketch for February '07...

Please disregard the blue-ish tint in my photo... I need to get a new ink cartridge for my printer, but I was planning on replacing the pic w/ an actual printed one later on anyhow. Oh and sorry about the wonky warp in the scanned LO... not sure what is up w/ that one!
